Year 1 parachute-making

Creative caps were on and ingenuity abounded in Year 1 when youngsters were set the challenge of designing and making their own parachutes.
Their mission: to rescue Jack from the top of the beanstalk as safely as possible by making a parachute for him to travel down in.
The project was part of a school-wide STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths) focus week and Orange class did not disappoint.
Staff were blown away with their creative designs, with pupils Olive, Alice and Henry being crowned winners in the challenge.
Their amazing design was the slowest to travel down from the top of the beanstalk ensuring the safety of Jack.
