Adopt a tree

Green-fingered families are being invited to 'adopt a tree' as part of an exciting new scheme at SSFS.
The school is to receive over 100 saplings and we want SSFS families to be involved in planting and caring for them.
Children and their families who chose to adopt one of the new trees will receive an adoption certificate and will be assigned a plot for their sapling to be planted.
SSFS's 'Adopt a Tree' day will take place at 2pm on Friday, March 16 when families will be invited to come in and take part in planting their tree.
Records of the family trees will be displayed in school and each year there will be an opportunity for children and parents to visit their sapling and check how well it's doing.
It is hoped that as many families as possible take this unique opportunity to be involved in such a special and long-lasting legacy.
Huge thanks must go to school governor Mrs Stirling, who secured the trees as part of a successful grant application.
