Year 3 visit Segedunum

Children in White Class were sent thousands of years back in time with a trip to Segedunum.
As part of the exciting excursion, the Year 3s were transformed into Roman soldiers and spent time learning how to march and carry out battle moves with shields and spears.
The trip, which also saw the children try on Roman costumes and learn how a soldier would dress for battle, was part of on-going topic work on the Romans.
A highlight of the trip was exploring the museum to find out more about the remains of the fort on the site; looking at artefacts and models of Roman life as well as visit to the Roman Baths.
Seaton Sluice First School would like to thank those who helped with the visit.
