Welcome to our Year 3 Home Learning Hub!
We will share links to tasks you can complete to support your learning while you are out of school.
There is no expectation for your child to ‘submit’ work in any way, but if they would like to share what they have been working on, please upload photos or videos to their portfolio on Class Dojo.
Weekly Home Learning
Each week I will share five key tasks for your child to complete at home that mirror what is taught in Key Worker Provision.
Reading, Reading, Reading!
Some children take to reading like a duck to water, others need lots more practise to become fluent.
Our school reading scheme is designed to match content closely to your child's stage in their reading journey while exposing them to a broad range of genres. This benefits not only reading fluency but also influences children's progress in writing across the curriculum.
All reading is heartily welcome and we encourage any and all reading whether that is the side of the cereal packet at the breakfast table to recipe books and your child's favourite fiction.
The more confidently your child can read, the greater will be their progress in all areas of learning.
Your child should ideally have memorised their 2, 3, 4, 5, 6 and 10 times tables by the end of Year 3.
Lockdown is a great time to focus on this skill. Here you will find resources your child can use to practise this skill independently, while you work from home.
