Xmas lights competition

Seaton Sluice will shine even brighter this festive season after a Year 3 pupil designed a new Christmas light for the town.
The new decoration will be unveiled during the annual Christmas lights switch-on at the start of December.
First place winner Violet Ward will see her design made into a light to be used on Beresford Road.
Runner-up Ben Graham took second place, while Ruby Scurr came third.
The festive designs were created by the children earlier in the year. The competition is part of an annual tradition whereby pupils in Year 2 are given the opportunity to design a new Christmas light for Seaton Sluice.
The entries were judged by the local council and the winners will take part in a school presentation.
