It was an historical day at SSFS last week when over 100 new trees were 'adopted' by families at SSFS.
The school received the saplings as part of an exciting new scheme made possible by a successful grant application.
Children and their families who chose to adopt one of the new trees received an adoption certificate and were assigned a plot for their sapling to be planted.
Records of the family trees are to be displayed in school and each year there will be an opportunity for children and parents to visit their sapling and check how well it's doing.
SSFS was thrilled that so many families took this unique opportunity to be involved in such a special and long-lasting legacy.
