Times tables

There are a lot of times tables to master during Year 3 and every bit of practise your child gets to learn tables facts by heart, and use them in every day life, will help them enormously.
To master  the Year 3 objectives related to times tables, children must have fluent recall of both multiplication and division facts related to the 2, 3, 4, 5, 6 and 8 times tables and be able to use these when solving problems.
For example:
Mrs Dixon has 24 apples and wants to share them between the two stars of the week. How many can each child have?
There are many resources available to help your child learn their tables and families often have their own preferences. However, if you would like further support from me, my door is always open.
There are a selection of useful websites on the "Children" page of the SSFS website too.
