SSFS Walk the Wall for charity

Spectacular and challenging terrain provided the perfect backdrop for a charity trek for staff at SSFS.
The brave staff members walked almost 18 miles along Hadrian's Wall yesterday to raise money for charity Coco.
The school has been working closely with Coco to raise funds for our 'link school' in a Tanzanian village.
Year 1 teachers Mrs Collins and Miss Chivers, Year 3 teacher Mrs Dixon and Teaching Assistant Miss Hall have raised hundreds of pounds between them after completing the demanding trek.
They were met by two lucky mascots at the end of their walk!
SSFS has supported Newcastle-based charity Coco for a number of years and the organisation asked the school last year about forging links with a new school in the village of Milaweni, in north Tanzania.
SSFS has since held a bake-sale to raise funds for the school and hopes to hold similar fundraising events in the future.
