PTFA

Seaton Sluice First School has an extremely successful PTFA (Parents, Teachers and Friends Association)  run by parents. It was established to develop closer links between teachers and parents and aims to help parents gain a better understanding of what happens in our school and to make them feel more a part of what goes on here.

The Association is involved in fundraising and social activities for school parents and their children to provide ‘extras’ to benefit the children of the school.  Activities include the Christmas Fair, Raffles, Children’s Discos, Hot Dog Nights, Family BBQ and Sponsored Walks. Over the last couple of years the PTFA has bought computers and software, outdoor play equipment, class cameras, Christmas entertainment and helped contribute towards school visits.

Meetings are held on a regular basis in school. They are open at any time to all parents and guardians of children in school, as well as employees of the school.  We welcome any suggestions, ideas or practical input and strongly encourage parents of younger children in the school to come along. We often ask for volunteer helpers to lend a hand at various events and your generosity and support is essential if this work is to continue. If you are interested in helping with the PTFA please contact Kim McGuire (chair), Emma Stanyer (deputy chair), or the Head Teacher.

Please dont hesitate to contact the ladies above if you have any questions or would like to help out at future events.
