Day out at Delaval Hall

14th May 2018
This term, lots of the children have been learning about our local area so over two days this week, each class headed to Seaton Delaval Hall courtesy of The Boyd Family's national trust gift membership to school.
Staff at the hall shared their knowledge about this National Trust treasure right on our doorstep. We heard about some madcap Delaval antics, the grand history of their ancestral home as well as what life might have been like for the people who lived in the hall in years gone by.
We had the most amazing weather for our trip and we enjoyed a scrumptious picnic, outdoor games and even had some time to relax in the paddock and sketch the impressive front view of the Hall itself.
Everyone agreed that we had an amazing day!
